Every tier is in the plan. Standard is the default; switch per conversation when a question needs more reasoning or a longer document. The models behind each tier are on AI transparency.

Fast and light: short answers, sorting, pulling facts out of text.
Standard
The everyday tier for writing, questions and documents. The only one that reads images.

Files and images
Attach PDFs and text files on any tier; the chat reads them as text. Images work on Standard. On the other tiers the chat says it cannot see them.
Web search with sources
Turn on search and the chat writes a short search query, reads the results and numbers its sources so you can check them. Only that query goes to the search provider, never your conversation.
Memory, if you want it
Off by default. Turn it on and the chat keeps a few short facts about you across conversations. You see, edit and delete every fact in Settings.
Google Drive and OneDrive
Connect your drive and attach a file straight from it. The app opens only the files you pick.
Folders and custom chats
Sort threads into folders. A custom chat is the same chat with its own instructions: one for contracts, one for customer email.

Energy under every answer
Each answer shows an estimate of the energy it took. How we calculate it is on sustainability.
In your language
Pick your language when you sign up and the chat answers in it. The app is set up for the ten languages of this site.

Add a person for €10 a month on the same invoice. Everyone gets the full chat.
Roles
Owner, admin and member. The owner pays and sets the sign-in rules, admins invite people and write team prompts, members use it.
Shared folders
A thread in a team folder is open to everyone in the team. Your own threads stay private unless you move them in.
Sign in with Microsoft or Google
Work or personal accounts both work. No password to forget: you can also sign in with a code by email.
Domain sign-in for teams
Verify your email domain with a DNS record. New people on it join your team, and you can require everyone on it to sign in through Microsoft or Google.
Audit log
Owners and admins see who signed in, who was invited, which roles and keys changed. It records actions, never what anyone wrote. Export it as CSV.
What we promise, and what we don't.

- True: All AI inference runs on infrastructure inside the European Union.
- True: Your prompts and the answers never go to the US or China.
- True: Nothing you type is used to train a model.
- True: Web search sends only the short search query to the search provider: not the conversation, not your files, not your account.
- Not true: “No data ever leaves the EU.” We do not say that. Hosting, payments and the search provider are listed on subprocessors, and a search query may be processed outside the EU.
What it does not do yet
- No image generation and no voice mode.
- Only the Standard tier reads images.
- Custom chats are personal: you cannot share one with your team yet.
- No SAML or SCIM. Ask us if your company needs them.
Frequently asked questions
How much does the Union AI chat cost?
€13 a month excluding VAT, with 2,000 messages included and all four tiers in the plan. The first 5 messages are free and need no card. Each extra person on the same plan is €10 a month.
Which AI model does the chat use?
You pick one of four tiers: Lite, Standard, Long context or Pro. Standard is the default. Which open-weight model runs behind each tier, with its licence, is published on the AI transparency page.
Can the chat read my PDFs and images?
PDFs and text files work on every tier: the chat reads them as text. Images are read only on the Standard tier. On the other tiers the chat tells you it cannot see the image and suggests switching.
Does web search send my conversation to a search engine?
No. When search is on, the chat writes a short search query and only that query goes to the search provider. Your conversation, your files and your account stay out of it. The search provider may process the query outside the EU.
Does the chat remember things about me?
Only if you turn memory on. It is off by default. Once on, it keeps a few short facts across conversations, and you can see, edit and delete each one in Settings.
Can my team use it with single sign-on?
Yes. People sign in with Microsoft, Google or a code by email. A team owner can verify the company's email domain and require everyone on it to sign in through Microsoft or Google. SAML and SCIM are not available yet.
