What changes when your prompts stay in Europe.

Engineers, data protection officers and people who just wanted a chat window that does not send their work across an ocean. Every quote below names the person who said it and where it came from.

In their own words

Three teams, and what actually changed for them.

A migration that took an afternoon, a vendor review that finally had something to review, and a finance approval that took one reading of the invoice.

We had the migration budgeted at three weeks. It took one afternoon, because the only thing that changed was the base URL and the model name. What actually took time was our own paperwork: our DPO wanted to read the processing agreement line by line before we pointed production at it, which is exactly what she should have done.

Interview, after four months on the API

I have read a lot of vendor pages that say the word sovereign and then say nothing else. This one lists its subprocessors, names the ones with a US parent and tells you which claims it is not making. I disagreed with two of their conclusions, but I could only disagree because the page gave me something to disagree with.

Written to the team after a vendor review

Eleven euros a month, everyone in the company, no seat maths, no annual commitment. Our finance lead approved it in the time it takes to read the invoice. The API sits next to it on prepaid credit, so the worst thing a runaway script can do is spend what we already put in.

The whole wall

Everything people have written to us.

The reservations are here too. A wall on which every single company is delighted is not evidence of anything.

API
Two lines changed in the client, and the euro amount on the invoice is the euro amount I budgeted. No dollar conversion to explain to my accountant.

The processing agreement was signable as written, which almost never happens. I asked for one change and got an answer the same week, from someone who had clearly read it.

After signing the DPA

API
The open-weight models are not the strongest on the market and the pricing page says so out loud. For summarising and extraction, which is ninety percent of what we run, the difference does not show up in our evals.

Evaluation write-up

Chat plan
We write about public sector clients. Being able to say the prompts are processed inside the Union, and to show the page that explains the caveats, ended a discussion that had been running for a year.

Case study interview

Chat plan
Our procurement questionnaire has a question about where inference runs. For the first time in two years I could answer it with a link instead of a meeting.

Procurement review

API
I put in ten euros to see whether it was real. Three months later I have still not spent it, and nothing has tried to upsell me since.

I am not technical and I did not need to be. It is a chat window, it answers in Irish English without being asked twice, and the bill does not move.

API
Eleven clients, eleven API keys, a spend ceiling on each one. When a client stops paying I revoke a key instead of writing an email.

Do not take our word for it

The sources we are measured against.

Testimonials are our word for it, which is worth something and not much. These are not: they are the rules, the judgments and the providers a visitor can check us against. Our own reading of them is on subprocessors and AI transparency, including the claims we do not make.

Every one of these links leaves this website, and that is the point. If something on our pages contradicts something on theirs, theirs is the one that counts, and we would like to hear about it at hello@europeanailab.eu.

Frequently asked

Before you believe any of this.

How these quotes were collected, how to check the claims in them yourself, and what it costs you to find out: the chat plan is €13 a month and cancels in one click.

Do you pay for reviews?

No. Nobody on this page was paid, given credit or offered a discount for what they said, and nothing was written for them. Quotes are shortened for length and never for meaning, and every person named agreed to be named before it went up.

Can I talk to a customer before I buy?

Yes. Write to hello@europeanailab.eu and say what kind of team you want to hear from, a developer on the API or an office rolling out the chat plan, and we will ask someone comparable whether they are willing. We introduce, they decide, and we stay out of the conversation.

How can I verify that inference runs inside the European Union?

Do not take a testimonial for it. Every API response carries X-EU headers naming the model and the region that served it, the subprocessor page lists who runs which part and under which jurisdiction, including the parts with a US parent company, and the inference provider publishes its own region documentation.

What happens if it does not work for my team?

You stop. The chat plan cancels in one click and runs to the end of the month you already paid for, and prepaid API credit is spent, not committed, so an integration you abandon simply stops costing anything. There is no notice period and no minimum term.

Can I leave a review?

Please do, including a critical one. Write to hello@europeanailab.eu or say it in public and tag us; we publish the reservations along with the praise, because a wall on which every company is delighted is not evidence of anything.
